Condition: Tested and fully working but the remore control battery terminal is corroded. Also, one speaker output has been converted from banana plug to a cable. Cosmetically in excellent condition. Please see pictures for more detail.

The Quad 405 is a two channel powr amplifier designed for domestic and professional use employing current dumping which eliminates many transistor problems.
The amplifier can be used with the 33 control unit or similar high quality pre-amplifier.
The high power output makes it suitable for use with many of today's hgh quality loudspeakers and provides opportunity for farther loudspeaker engineering development with less emphasis on efficiency.

Quad 66 Preamplifier:
The Quad 66 is a high quality preamplifier system with full remote control operation.
It comprises two units; a mains operated preamp t which the various sound sources are connected and a separate battery operated control panel incorporating all the main function cotrols for operating the preamp and Quad CD player, or any other remote control CD player using the same remote control language.
If the battery fails the control panel can be directly powered from the preamp. A display on the main unit shows all functions selected.
