For sale: Akai - GX-F80 - Stereo Cassette Deck - GX-Head - 3-Head - Serviced
This deck needs to warm up after being idle for a while, due to having sat unused for an extended period without lubrication internally to make the operation smooth as intended. We put new greese in the whole deck, but it takes a bit of time before all parts run smooth. When you power up the deck, and use the play or rew functions. It can take some attempts before the deck engages proper. Usualy it needs to warm up a bit before smooth operation. We attached a video of the deck beign in operation.
The tape mechanism (pulley) has been repaired, ensuring smooth operation. Additionally, the ECR values of the capacitors have been measured, confirming that a recap is not currently necessary.
Cosmetic condition:
The unit is in minor damaged condition.

- Cosmetic wear consistent with age
