For sale: Otari MX-5050 (3-head version) — a top-tier reel-to-reel tape recorder used in studios for mastering, recording, and broadcast. You get a full rig: the main deck, four dbx 150X noise reduction modules, and the rollable Otari stand included.

Condition: Shows cosmetic wear including tape residue on panels (see pictures) and vinyl covering chip-offs, and light wear on the stand. Mechanically, the transport works, and all functions that were tested are operational Recording/Playback. We have had a technician look at the recorder. And he calibrated all the levels, and replaced two bad elco's. We feel that the recorder is working fine. Only we find that the winding back feels very tight! The unit is sold as is for that reason.
Side note: This Otari has not been fully serviced.
