Pontavi Wheatstone Ohm Meter (No.2) KAY B-9-13569-bv
Hartmann & Braun Pontavi Wheatstone Ohm Meter (No.2)
The H&B Pontavi is not tested and sold as is.
The Pontavi measuring bridge is used to determine the resistance of solid and liquid conductors (also for earth resistance measurement) with help of the well-known Wheatstone bridge circuit. The necessary adjustable resistors are accommodated together with a pointer galvanometer and a flashlight battery in a Press off housing.
The power source is a normal flashlight battery of 4.5 volts. If this battery is to be replaced after consumption, so only the lower half of the held by a push-button housing bottom is to be removed. If no replacement battery is available, then after removing the flashlight battery another power source can be connected, which may only have a voltage of about 4.5 volts. The connection is made either at the clamping screw of the terminal blocks of the battery or by banana plug at the side sockets.
